Tonight I threw caution to the wind and let both kids make Christmas cookies all on their own. It was a great way to kill some time since the kids and I have been spending a lot of alone time together.
Carter did not produce one single finished cookie. We rolled one out and cut out the pumpkin shape that he picked. He patiently pressed all the sprinkles he wanted into the dough and then ate the whole thing, piece by piece. He then ate all the sprinkles he could find on the table.
Ah, yes. The finished product- no, not products, just product. I do not profess to be a great baker and here is the main reason why. I am not a patient cook and love to cut corners. My bright idea to cram them all onto one cookie sheet so that I didn't have to do two batches created one giant, colorful cookie. Luckily, the kids could not have cared less!
