The kids and I went over to the Barthelmes family's home for the yearly Game Night with all the family in for the holidays. Abbie LOVED playing her favorite board games with the girls and Carter just couldn't get enough of his cousins Haley and Sophie. Both of my kids were so excited to have them to play with!

Carter's 1st Movie

Last Tuesday we had a girl's (and Carter) day out at the movies to see the Princess and the Frog. I confidently brought Carter along because he LOVES movies and will sit and stare like a zombie from beginning to end. Of course, being unpredictable as he is, we only made it through maybe the first 20 minutes before he began acting out and proved me wrong again. Joy was in from Colorado, cousins Haley and Sophie and Aunt Nancy from Tennessee, and cousin Brianna in from college. Aunt Sue and cousin Natalie also joined us.

Abbie's dear Auntie brought over Christmas gifts from a party we had to miss while we were at Knotts. She came bearing so many wonderful gifts and here she is modeling her princess Ariel jewelry. I can't believe how grown up she looks! A clever and thoughtful Auntie that she is she including special girly bandaids in with her gifts which Abigail has hidden in her room and is currently proudly sporting a Dora and Hello Kitty bandaid on her knee. Thanks Alyson!

Carter's First Movie

I took Carter and Abbie to Edwards Movie Theater to meet Aunts and Cousin visiting for Christmas. We went to see the Princess and the Frog. Abbie was a doll. Carter was Carter.

Cousins Natalie & Brianna came with Aunt Sue, Haley and Sophie with Aunt Nancy from Tennessee, and Joy restraining the Carter man and actually finding a clever way to make him smile. Of course, Miss Abigail is in the front.

More Knotts Berry Farm

Carter's favorite attraction- the hotel elevator. The poor boy has never even been on one before because he can't behave long enough to get onto one!

A huge Spanish style fountain was a hit with the kids- lucky for me it hadn't been filled yet for the day so I didn't end up with two soaking wet kids first thing in the am

They do manage to find a tiny puddle and made the most of it

Carter loved climbing up a large spiral step case that led up to a bell tower. Unfortunately for me he quickly discovered that he could fit through the arch openings in the tower and was furious that I would not allow him to take flight and fall on the brick pavers below. Yet another nasty temper tantrum

Carter and Abbie race down the hallway to Nana and then back to Papa who is video taping. I am sure the neighbors in the rooms by us greatly appreciated our game but we thought it was fun!
