Just a little after Christmas, I overheard DJ ask Abbie what object she would want more than anything and she very specifically told him "a pink car with purple stripes, a big one, that I can drive." He told her that he would buy her whatever she wanted as long as she was a good girl. I couldn't help but laugh to myself because I knew that while he thought he was just having a casual conversation with a 3 year old, he had just entered a verbal contract that would never be forgotten to Abigail. So here it is, a pink car with custom made purple decals, painstakingly picked out by DJ.
Abigail was terrified of driving the car at first & did everything she could to stall pushing the pedal. Luckily she got over it quickly and Carter was a very happy passenger.
Abbie stopped the car & Carter jumped out of the car, ran around to the front of the car & lifted up the hood. He examined the battery and played around with the wires a bit before putting the hood down and hopping back in. This wouldn't have been so funny to me if he had any previous experiences with Power Wheels or if he had seen the hood open before, but he just knew by instinct and had to check things out.
Carter decided on this fateful morning to be an artist and his medium of choice was none other than his own poop. Excuse the partial nudity and focus on the artwork instead. I am still traumatized.

Carter decided that on this morning, since we were in a hurry to leave, he just had to dress himself even though he had never before attempted to do so. Here is the result- backwards shorts and a toga like shirt. And the part that annoys me the most- there is no amount of bribery or threatening that would make this boy take a picture like this anywhere but on top of a toilet, next to an open trash can & a plunger. Go figure.
