Another Week!

Can't hardly believe another week has past so I'm going to try to catch up quickly! On Fridays we watch "Baby Jake" for a few hours and as you can see he is not much of a baby anymore.
A common sight when Abbie's door is left slightly ajar. Because of this she is usually pretty careful to shut the door all the way.

Happy Valentines Day!

Here my children display some of their very best table manners. I post these especially for their Grandma who just LOVES when Carter eats like this!

Yes, here are the rest of the table manner pictures I was looking for!

We celebrated DJ's mom, Noreen's, birthday on Wednesday. Here Papa cuddles up for a little after dinner TV.

Both kids were more than eager to help their Nana blow out the birthday candles. I think it will be a long time before anyone in our family gets to blow out candles unassisted!

Abbie & DJ ended the night with their very own rendition of "You are My Sunshine." It might be one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

Not one to be left out, Carter joins the band.

Enjoying the wonderful spring weather in February but unwilling drive anywhere since I am STILL battling whatever illness my son shared with me & only me, we had a little backyard picnic and play time. This made the dogs and the kids very, very happy and I got to lay in the sun and "relax."

A Week in Review

Jabbers and his "Cootie" friend, courtesy of Abigail and much appreciated by Jabbers
I feel pretty, oh so pretty...

Carter with all the essential tools of the trade

My little wanderer continues to show up in unexpected places. I found him here at 4:30 am, fast asleep. And yes, we are back to duct taping pajamas on him again thankfully this time for #1 rather than #2. Thanks to Alyson and all our correctional officers in the family for all the info on how to keep Carter's diaper on!

And last but not least, the biggest thanks goes to my husband this week for dealing with us "sickies" as he calls us and taking over all the household duties on his days off without even a single complaint. I am so thankful for him- not so thankful for this picture though...
I also attended Jennifer Congdon's baby shower on Saturday (well before we got sick!) and although I forgot to bring my camera I got to meet her two month old twin daughters. They are beautiful and perfect in every way!

My Little Nomad

Now that Carter has learned the fine art of climbing out of his crib at his will I find him in all sorts of interesting places and in all states of dress. This night I found him just inside his door snuggling with his koosh balls. Luckily for me, he had clothes on this time!

Emerald Cove Park

Carter finally decided that the swings were fun- but only if he can sit on the very edge of the swing and lean forward, of course.
Carter was very pleased with his picnic lunch on top of a little hill. I went to play with Abigail and turned around to find him sharing his lunch with another little boy. At least the boy can share!

Abigail was not amused with having her picture taken- eating is serious business.

Bottoms up!

Happy Pirates

Little Chef

Abigail's job for preparing dinner was buttering the bread, and oh boy, did she ever!
