A few misc pics from before Easter that I just hadn't posted yet...
DJ keeps an eye on the kids for me.
Carter decides the best way to enjoy a book is from the inside of a book bin.

Carter watches a show with Jabbers.

Sweet sibling snuggle time.

One of the only reasons we still keep the dogs around...

Trying to Function in the Madness

Poor, sweet Dj brought home flowers hoping that they would make me feel better after my truly sleepless, messy, anxiety filled night with Carter.

Unfortunately, Abbie and I were scheduled to be models in a much anticipated fashion show for a luncheon at church. It couldn't have been on a worse day for me after that first night with Carter. since I surely was not feeling like model material. Abbie had been practicing her model walk with DJ (quite a sight to see!) and was excited about it, even though she did not quite understand what a fashion show was so there was no backing out. Needless to say, it was an experience to remember. Abigail did SO great and managed to keep her composure amongst the chaos that was the fashion show.

Sick AGAIN!

It all started with Carter (as usual). I was just celebrating a full week of no humidifiers and green slime covered Carter when a much, much worse kind of sickness took over. I thought maybe he had just swallowed something he wasn't supposed to because he was up ALL night vomiting every 10-15 minutes on Friday night. It was officially my first uncontrollable vomiting child and all nighter. No one else was sick so I thought we were all in the clear, when....

Abigail wakes up early Sunday morning covered in puke. The two of us had a "slumber party" next to the toilet for the rest of the evening. This picture is so great to me because I can honestly count the number of times she has fallen asleep somewhere besides a crib since she was six months old on one hand.
Abigail decides a sucker would make her feel better. Not so much.

Both sickies snuggle up. Carter's outfit is pitiful because we are cycling though every cotton pant/shirt he owns due to now exploding diapers- almost as much fun as vomit. Someday, my kids will be healthy again and we will be able to leave the house for a few minutes. Talk about cabin fever!

"Pink Church"

Abigail is ready, complete with Dora backpack.

Carter plays until he can't play anymore and stops for a nap in the middle of all the chaos.
The big kids go on an Easter egg hunt with their bunny ears.

Gardening

We have been taking full advantage of the beautiful weather.

Losing the Morning Nap

Now that Carter is starting to recover from seemingly endless bouts of sickness, I am trying to cut out his morning nap. This is usually the result....

Abigail the Model

A Week of Mischief

Carter discovers my neatly stacked pile of his winter clothes and rearranges them for me.
Abigail gets into my waterproof mascara, tries to wipe it off herself, and is distraught that she cannot get it off.

Carter teaches 8 month old Jacob to sword fight with pieces of Abigail's keyboard. Thankfully, I caught these two early in the lesson, before any marks that required explaining were made.

Carter "helps" me find some of his summer clothes.
