All Boy

What starts as a little fun in a puddle...
becomes more fun.....

and more fun.

An Early Thanksgiving

We celebrated an early Thanksgiving with my mom on Sunday. The kids slept through most of it, but as you can see Abigail had plenty of time to enjoy a treat or two.

Helping Grandsma

Carter helps in his own way.
Abigail is huge on helping (she often follows me singing, "helping my mom, helping my mom") so my mom had Abigail over to help with the Thanksgiving cooking. We learning that she is not a fan of unsweetened pumpkin and as much as she loves to help, she is still has the attention span of a 2 year old.

Disneyland

Together Again

Carter stayed with Papa (DJ's Dad) while we were at Disneyland, so the kids were separated for much longer than they are used to. Abigail is always interested in babies, but was baby crazy while away from Carter. She would stop dead in her tracks if she spotted a baby (which was often) and took special interest in boys around Carter's age, even though she knew it wasn't him.

We're Home!

We are just in from Disneyland and had a GREAT time! I am eager to post more pictures but don't have time to go through all 221 pictures I took. Slideshow to follow!

Little Mommy

With her real "b.b." taking his morning nap, Abigail turned her mommy attention to her babies. She fed them, burped them, wrapped them in their blankets, and laid down to go "nigh-nigh" with them.

Dora Time

Both kids, complete with favorite blankets, all cozy and in their respective Dora watching spots. They were feeling a little cranky because I had to wake them both up from their afternoon naps because it was almost dinnertime. Dora to the rescue!

I feel pretty...

The makeup bandit strikes again.

Auntie Cool Beans

My sister Kelsey was here in town this weekend for a brief visit. We don't get to see her often since she lives in San Jose and works hard at two jobs, so whatever time we spend with her is extra special. She is always great at showing the kids fun new tricks that Abigail remembers and begs me to do with her long after Auntie is gone (like "ice skating" with feet inside gift boxes, teasing the cat, or getting pushed inside of boxes). We were sad to see her go, but hope to visit her around Christmastime.

I'm a Big Girl Now!

Miss Abigail has officially said goodbye to her diapers (literally actually- I made her tell them goodbye because they were 'going to the babies') and is potty trained with no fuss! We still use pull ups for sleeping and outings, but is almost 100% at home. Now that she is using the potty, she has decided she can also dress herself without my input. Hold on to your hats everyone!

Dirty Boy

And Carter is still just being Carter.

Happy 80th Birthday Grandma (G.G.)!

On Saturday night we celebrated Grandma Lynch's 80th birthday at the Ewing's home. We had a great time and are so thankful that we have been blessed with Grandma for such a long time and pray that we will continue to share memories with her for many more to come!

Happy Halloween!

Here's our Halloween night, in reverse order!
The sugar rush

Sharing the spoils of the night

So very, very hot

Carter enjoys his few moments as a free gorilla

Our sleeping lion, Jacob

A very thirsty bunny rabbit

Trick or Treat- perhaps the quietest, shyest bunch of trick or treaters there ever was!

Abbie patiently waits for a door to open

Look Mom! She was so excited after she would get candy in her bucket. Abbie came tearing away from every door, eager to show me that ANOTHER person gave her even more candy.

We're ready! Carter was kept confined to his stroller because he has a habit of trying to join other families and running out into the street. Abigail was ready to get out with the big kids after one house and was the slowest walking trick or treater ever.

An amazing feat accomplished. 7 kids 5 and under standing together, posing for a picture.

Carter does yet another face plant. At least this time we can blame it on the costume.

Abigail is quick to find baby Jacob and give him kisses. She tells me that we need another baby. I keep giving her her Dora baby brother and telling her, "Here he is!"

The only time all of the kids will be found sitting together in one spot all night- eating dinner. At least the moms with picky or non-eaters were able to use Abigail as an example of how a kid should eat- quietly, neatly and LOTS!

We pose for a quick picture before it is time to go!

The kids are not so sure about Daddy's costume. Neither of them is quite convinced that it is really him. He dressed up as Axl Rose from Guns N Roses- he just can't let a year pass without dressing up as someone!

Our bunny is ready!
