Easter Sunday

Abigail, Carter and I spent Easter Sunday at my grandparent's house in Kernville this year and had a blast! Unfortunately, DJ was unable to come with us this year because he had to work. We sure did miss him! We started the morning by going to the park right next to the Kern River while we waited for my mom, Roy, sister Kelsey, and her boyfriend Lester to make it into town. Then we headed to Grandma's for great food and a serious Easter egg hunt. Cousins Shelbi and Remi searched for the money eggs while Abigail enjoyed finding the plastic eggs with candy inside. By the time she was done her face and dress were covered in chocolate and sticky from jelly beans. Abigail also decided that Easter was no time for napping so she was out of control from sleep deprivation and sugar overload by midafternoon. Carter enjoyed all the attention from family, hanging out with the guys and flirting with the girls. Abigail broke her own record for self inflicted injuries by the time we left and had fallen asleep in the car before we even made it to the freeway! The day was over and I think I was just as exhausted as the kids were, but we sure made some great memories!

Miss Abigail Elizabeth

My Abigail, with her curly hair and big blue eyes, is growing and changing so quickly. She is learning so many new words but says them under her conditions. I know she can say certain things but will only do so when she thinks no one is listening! Her sense of humor is blossoming and she giggles anytime something is dropped or someone on tv falls down. She loves to watch America's Funniest Home Videos with me before bedtime. She is a girl led by her emothions. When things are good, they are great and when they are not- everybody watch out! Everyday is an adventure with her!

Carter's New Skills

Carter is so very proud of his newfound ability to sit up and now has it mastered! Sitting is the only way to keep him still now that he is scooting all over the place and doesn't like being contained in his jumper or walker. This boy has trouble written all over him!
