Holiday Lights at Calm

The group watches Abbie & DJ go on the "yee haws" again.

The group that went out on that CHILLY night minus the two Deans & Carter

Carter made a perfect example of why we rarely take him anywhere that is supposed to be fun and enjoyable. He screamed almost the entire time.

Abbie poses in front of the peacock display.

Mommy & Carter try to take a nice photo- even though Carter is squirming and screaming.

Abbie & Daddy are ready.

Abigail is so excited!

Finally...Halloween Pics

I decided just before Abbie's 2nd bday that I was going to start taking pics of the kids myself as often as possible instead of dragging all of us to a photo studio. Going to Picture People is always stressful and a whole lot of no fun for all of us and pics are usually okay but nothing grand. I had every intention of taking Halloween pictures at the park because photos from Halloween night are always so dark and washed out with flash. I even left their costumes hanging in the laundry room with the idea that we would go within a few weeks of the big day. With a busy schedule, rain, fog, cold, and just a lack of desire to chase two toddlers all over a park trying to snap pics (I should get a job as an action sports photographer) we finally went today- just days before Christmas! An elderly man was out with his very nice camera equipment came over and gave me a few useful tips for taking outdoor photos which were actually helpful. And instead of being in need of heavy cocktails, we actually had a good time!

Carter's 1st Haircut!

A toy room with a train table, legos, and a movie screen keeps the kids occupied. They were both MAD at me when it was time to leave!
All finished!

Mesmerized by a Dora the Explorer video playing on a screen directly in front of him. What a brilliant idea! He never would have put up with this otherwise.

The before shot. He didn't have a lot of hair but it was uneven and had some funny long strands. I couldn't even style it to look cute anymore.

Carter is all set for his first haircut!

Christmas Party

Our attempt at getting our yearly photo of the kids together. These are the kids of six women- and we were missing three of them!
Abbie was SO ready to open presents.

Photo Attempt

On Sunday, I had the rare opportunity to see the kids all dressed up for church AND managed to have a few extra minutes to snap a picture. Obviously, my grand plan for a nice picture of two well-dressed toddlers in front of our Christmas tree was squashed but the pictures I ended up with are special in their own way!
